The Choke Manifold is an essential equipment to control well kick and implement the oil and gas well pressure control technology. The Choke Manifold is constituted by the throttle Valve , Gate Valve , pipes, pipe fittings, pressure gauge and other components.Under the BOP closed conditions, the use of the throttle valve' s opening and closing. In addition, during the implementation of well shutdown, it is available to achieve a soft shutdown by virtue of pressure relief via the choke manifold. When the well pressure rises to a certain limit, it is able to protect the wellhead through blowout prevention.

Application requirements of special choke manifold
(1) The working pressure of all components of the special choke manifold shall match the working pressure of the BOP combination;
(2) The special throttle manifold shall be installed at a place easily accessible to operators, and the sealing test pressure of the special throttle manifold shall be equal to the rated working pressure;
(3) Special choke manifold must be equipped with working pressure gauge;
(4) For winter construction, the special throttle manifold shall have the performance of working under low temperature conditions.

Choke manifold is the must-have facility used for oil/gas well pressure control. Its functions are as follows:Control the casing pressure and maintain the pressure balance in the well to avoid the occurrence of any overblow or blowout; Provide soft shut in through throttle valve-based pressure release; Allow the flow so as to protect the well head.

Kill Manifold is the main facility used for oil/gas well pressure control. It is used for the following purposes:Pump heavy mud into the well to offset the bottom-hole pressure; Directly release the bottom-hole pressure; Perform special operations; Inject clear water to wash the well or inject a fire-extinguishing chemical.

Kill Manifold is mainly constituted by the one-way valve, pressure gauge, connecting pipes and other components. One end of the Kill Manifold is connected to the four-way coupling, while the other end is connected to the injection pump. The Kill manifold and choke manifold should be designed and used in combination according to the API standard. When the wellhead pressure increases, it is able to pump heavy drilling fluid into the well through the kill manifold in order to balance the bottom hole pressure and to prevent the occurrence of well kick and blowout： It is available to use its connected blowout prevention pipes to directly open the well for gushing and release the pressure at the bottom of the well; in addition, it may also apply the squeeze well cementing operation to inject clean water and fire extinguishing agents into the wellhead.
